Lake County’s Mobile Crisis Response Team Is Just a Phone Call Away

Lake County has an unwavering commitment to behavioral health and wellness. Lake County Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS)’s purpose is “to improve the quality of life for the people of Lake County experiencing mental illness or substance use disorder by offering recovery-oriented services.” LCBHS operates and supports peer support centers that meet the needs of un- and underserved people county-wide. Prevention is key to everyone’s quality of life.

The "Lake County Mental Health Services Act Annual Update Fiscal Year 2024-2025" highlights underserved populations, such as indigenous peoples and the homeless, who often hesitate to seek help. The LCBHS Crisis Team is trained to engage personally and listen actively to meet these residents' needs.
