Celebrating Dedicated County of Lake Employees

Honoring Dedicated Service Across County Departments

The Spring 2025 Semi-Annual Employee Service Awards recognized the dedication of County of Lake employees across more than twenty departments. With honors for five to thirty-five years of service, the event recognized vital contributions staff make to community well-being and public service excellence.

Celebrating Dedicated County of Lake Employees

This year’s awards, presented during the Board of Supervisors’ March 25, 2025 Regular Meeting, recognized the hard work and commitment of County of Lake employees. These acknowledgments celebrate individuals who have dedicated years of service, highlighting their contributions to the community and reinforcing the importance of their roles within the organization.

5-0425.1 Employees with Five Year Anniversaries

Employee Service Awards commemorate individual achievements and strengthen community ties by acknowledging the collaborative efforts of staff to enhance the quality of life for Lake County residents.

5-0425.2 Employees with Ten Year Anniversaries

Congratulations to the following: Geoffrey Hasz from Information Technology; Sarah Hardisty from the Sheriff’s Office; Crystal Hernandez from Social Services; Dennis Wilson from Special Districts; and Community Development Director, Mireya Turner, who each celebrated 15 years. Celebrating 20 years were: Nicole Gentry from Special Districts; Kris Amante from the Auditor-Controller’s Office; Laurie Grogg from Behavioral Health; Amy Stephenson from Probation; Cara Salmon from Public Works; and John Drewrey, Tye Hockett and Celia Jimenez from the Sheriff’s Office.

5-0425.3 Employees with 15 Year Anniversaries and Beyond

The awards ceremony acknowledged outstanding service from employees. Notable recipients also included Alicia Ayala from Public Works and George Hornung from Special Districts who each celebrated 25 years, Kathy Lakatos from Information Technology who celebrated 30 years (and was recognized for contributions that extended well beyond her department) and Director of Child Support Services, Tammie Widener, who celebrated 35 years.
